Jurgen Klopp Treats Microphone Like Eamon Dunphy's Pen Live On TV

An awkward moment on German TV last night as a highly strung Jurgen Klopp reacted badly to a "stupid" question from ZDF's Joachim Breyer.

Breyer asked Klopp if the tie was done. According to 101 Great Goals, Klopp responded in a spikey fashion.

How can anyone pay my salary if I say the tie is done. I would be just as stupid to say we are going to thrash them, but I’m not going to be able continue standing in this studio to be provoked into saying a stupid thing. For stupid questions I can give stupid answers

The final word Klopp used, a la Trap's famous rant in 1998 was "fertig." It has been reported that he threw the microphone down and stormed out. He dropped the microphone in a manner more akin to the way Eamon Dunphy dropped his pen on the desk in 1990. No doubt in the future, we will be told that Klopp sent the furry mic windmilling across the studio floor.
