The fallout from Saturday's hugely controversial Premier League clash between Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool continues to rumbling on, with Jurgen Klopp adding more fuel to the fire on Wednesday afternoon.
Just a day after PGMOL released the shambolic audio from the decision to rule a legitimate Luis Diaz goal offside, the Liverpool boss was put in front of the media for his pre-Europa League press conference.
Klopp saw his side lose 2-1 at Spurs, but much of the talk ever since has been around the baffling VAR decision and the miscommunications that led to it.
On Wednesday, the German coach stated that a replay would be the correct outcome from the controversy, although he stressed that he doesn't see that happening.

Jurgen Klopp calls for Spurs v Liverpool replay
"Not as the manager of Liverpool, but as a football person, I think that the outcome should be a replay," said the German coach.
"That's how it is. It probably will not happen. The argument against that will probably be if we open that gate then everybody will ask for it. I think the situation is that unprecedented that it didn't happen before.
"If it happens again, I think a replay would be the right thing to do, or the ref has the opportunity to bring both coaches together and say 'sorry, we made a mistake but we can solve it, let Liverpool score a goal and we can start from there."
🗣 "I think the only outcome should be a replay... Something like that has never happened."

Klopp mocked for replay comments
While Klopp made it clear that he doesn't see a replay happening in this instance, he feels that it would be the right thing to do in any future cases, something that is likely to open up a big can of worms.
Naturally, he has been widely mocked online for his comments, with many people bringing up previous high-profile mistakes from football history that could also have led to replays.
While the incompetence of the VAR officials has left Klopp deflated, he did state his belief that nobody involved messed up on purpose, but that is unlikely to ease any frustration for fans of Liverpool.
Blimey Jurgen Klopp wants the Tottenham v Liverpool game replayed… just imagine if Celtic could go back and have games replayed over the years…

Been getting slaughtered by Liverpool fans all week saying nobody is calling for a replay!
….Your manager is!
Apologies accepted 👍🏼 https://t.co/N6MSmSiNtF— Jonathan Walters (@JonWalters19) October 4, 2023
You can’t replay the game. Every manager would then call for replays. That way madness lies. Jurgen Klopp has done so much for English football: the drama, joy and success of his football, bond with his players and fans, nurturing talent. But calling for a replay is ridiculous.
