Liverpool secured their first win of the Premier League season yesterday, defeating Bournemouth 3-1 in a thrilling game at Anfield.
The home side started in a disastrous manner, giving away a poor goal and looking incredibly dodgy at the back in the early stages. However, they would recover well from that point and win the game on the back of goals from Luis Diaz, Mo Salah, and Diogo Jota.
This was also done despite the sending off of Alexis Mac Allister midway through the second half, a red card that the club could well appeal.
While Liverpool looked good in attack against Bournemouth, the fixture did provide a reminder of some of the issues in the team. They are still too easy to play through in the middle third, with the side crying out for a high quality holding midfielder after the departure of Fabinho.
The club have spent much of the summer transfer window in search of such a player, having had bids accepted for Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia, only to then see both players move to Chelsea.
Jurgen Klopp will no doubt be frustrated with the way the last few weeks have played out, something he seems to take out on the Liverpool supporters yesterday.
Jurgen Klopp directs strange outburst at Liverpool fans
One or two chances for Bournemouth aside, Liverpool managed to see out this game in a reasonably comfortable fashion despite being reduced to ten men for the closing stages.
However, their manager was certainly tense during this period.
In a clip that has been widely shared on social media, you can hear Klopp scolding the Liverpool supporters in the 75th minute of the game for singing his 'I'm so glad Jurgen is a red' chant, shouting:
Can you stop singing that s**t?!
Can you stop?!
It was a strange moment, one that has not been all that well received by many of their fans.
While the German has admitted in the past that he isn't enamoured by the idea of the supporters singing his name, some feel his reaction crossed a line on this occasion.
I love him, but Klopp doesn’t get to decide what the fans sing, not now, not ever. He also seems to think his song is a celebration of winning the game that is currently being played. It isn’t. He needs to pack it in with with one, he’s way out of line.

Always thought it’s a bit weird when Klopp starts telling the fans to sing a different song. It’s just noise as much as anything, regardless of who the songs for. Would still give a kidney for him to stay forever though:

Jurgen Klopp has previously said that he would prefer to hear the fans sing the names of the players instead of his, asking that they do not sing it at all while games are still going on
Speaking earlier this year, he explained why this is the case.
I have to say now, I love all of them, but my song, don't sing it. If you want to sing it, sing it after the game in a bar or where ever.
It's always closing the game, we are 3-0 up and they start 'I'm so glad Jurgen is a red', and I think 'it's not over'.
It would be really nice if you could leave that for later.
This is a bit of an odd stance from Klopp, who is absolutely adored by Liverpool fans.
You get the sense that this outburst was partly fuelled by the frustration he has experienced in the transfer market in recent weeks. If Liverpool can get another player or two in and go on a run of good form, you would imagine that hearing his chant sung during games will become less of an issue.
