Liverpool were dealt a likely final blow in their bid to remain in the Premier League title race this afternoon, being held to a 2-2 draw at West Ham.
It was a game that Jurgen Klopp's side probably did not deserve to win, despite taking a lead into the final 15 minutes of the contest.
They fell behind just before the interval on the back of a Jarrod Bowen header, although they would equalise soon after the restart thanks to a goal from Andy Robertson. The visitors would then take the lead in the 65th minute thanks to an own goal from Alphonse Areola and looked likely to claim the three points.
However, a goal from Michail Antonio ensured that the spoils would be shared between the sides.

Jurgen Klopp responds to question about Mohamed Salah bust-up
Jurgen Klopp made a number of changes to his Liverpool team for this game after the loss to Everton in midweek, including moving Mohamed Salah to the bench.
The Egyptian has been in poor form over the last few weeks, failing to make any sort of impact during the club's recent fixtures.
He would be brought off the bench in the 79th minute, soon after West Ham's equaliser. He had been preparing to come on for a few minutes before that point.
When he eventually did make his way to the sideline, he became involved in an altercation with his manager.

It was unclear what sparked the reaction from Salah at the time.
Speaking to TNT Sports after the game, Jurgen Klopp gave a spiky response when asked what had sparked the incident.
"I'm not in the mood to talk about that to be honest, or to look at that [the title race] at all."

Reporter: People are discussing your exchange with Mohamed Salah before he came on, can you tell us what was being said?
Klopp: No. We spoke already in the dressing room, for me that is done.
Reporter: Where does this leave Liverpool in the title race then Jurgen? You've five points behind Arsenal if they win the North London derby tomorrow.
Klopp: I'm not in the mood to talk about that to be honest, or to look at that at all. We had to win here, we knew that, and we didn't. Now we have a little bit more time until the next game, we will try to get the boys ready again and go again.
Salah would also refuse to open up on the incident when quizzed by the media, although his response did perhaps suggest that the issue was far from closed.

With Jurgen Klopp set to leave Liverpool this summer, there is every possibility that Mohamed Salah could follow him out the door. The forward has only one year left on his contract and has been heavily linked with a move to Saudi Arabia over the last 12 months or so.
Considering his form in recent months and contract situation, it would be no surprise to see him leave Anfield over the coming months.
