Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp was involved in an awkward exchange with a Dutch reporter on Wednesday, over a recent interview with former Reds captain Jordan Henderson.
Now playing for Ajax, Henderson recently took part in a spiky interview after a 2-2 Eredivisie draw with Fortuna Sittard, a result which was in keeping with a dreadful season overall for the Amsterdam giants.
Henderson was repeatedly pressed on his poor display, and that of his teammates, and it became increasingly obvious from the England midfielder's demeanour that he wasn't happy with the line of questioning.
Klopp must have been watching on because on Wednesday, he called out a reporter who he recognised as a colleague of the man who had grilled his former skipper.
Ahead of his side's Europa League clash with Atalanta on Thursday, Klopp was asked a question by the reporter but fired back quickly by asking whether he was the one who had interviewed Henderson.
😬 "What a horrible interview that was!"

Jurgen Klopp backs Jordan Henderson in exchange with reporter
The reporter answered "no" but added that the man in question was a colleague of his, and it all played out rather awkwardly in the Liverpool press room.
Klopp: "You're not the one who interviewed Jordan Henderson, are you?"
Reporter: "No."
Klopp: "That's good. That was your colleague? A friend of yours?"
Reporter: "Yeah."
Klopp: (laughing) "What a horrible interview that was."
Reporter: "You didn't like it?"
Klopp" "Do you know anybody who liked it?"
Reporter: "I spoke to him and he said 'I regret it. I was a bit too hard'. And he said also 'I'm sorry.'"
Klopp: "Did he? Wow. I take that apology, on behalf of Hendo."
Even though Henderson left Liverpool last summer, it must be comforting to know that his old boss is still standing up for him.
Henderson has endured a fairly torrid time since leaving Anfield, first in Saudi Arabia and now in the Netherlands and that clearly hasn't gone unnoticed by Klopp.
