After learning that Springbok legend Joost van der Westhuizen was a massive Liverpool fan, and shared that passion with his son Jordan, Jurgen Klopp wanted to offer his condolences as well as a token of his appreciation after the former scrum-half tragically passed away earlier this year.
Klopp, and Liverpool, became aware of the rugby legend's love for their club through Jordan himself, as he wrote a truly heartbreaking letter to his father shortly after he passed.
The youngster asked his father to have a word with God about arranging it so that Liverpool could always win, before signing it 'You'll never walk alone.'
Jordan's mother Amor Vittone has since published a photo of Jordan looking absolutely thrilled with his signed Liverpool top, and the letter that Klopp addressed to him, and it really does appear to be a touch of class from the German.
The letter you wrote to him about LFC meant a lot to us, thank you so much for your support, we hope you will have happy memories of the time you spent with him watching LFC play.
May you and your family know peace, comfort and strength at this sad time.
You'll never walk alone.
A lovely touch, it must be said.
Klopp does come across as a genuinely good guy, and a simple act such as the one above but a massive smile on the face of a young lad going through a very tough time.
