Jose Mourinho gave a fitness update for his side's Premier League match against bottom of the table Crystal Palace tomorrow and the updates were not positive.
Paul Pogba's injury is going to keep him out of action for longer than expected, while Antonio Valencia and Phil Jones are a doubt for tomorrow's game.
Valencia, Jones, Marouane Fellaini, and Michael Carrick, did not travel Moscow and the Manchester United manager was asked by Chris Wheeler of the Daily Mail, would any of those players feature at the weekend?
I hope some of the players who couldn't play in Moscow can recover.
Maybe not all of them but some of them. From all the injuries we had I hope I can have some players available.
Mourinho has added Pogba to United's 'long term' injury list. The Frenchman limped off 19 minutes into his side's opening Champions League game against Basel and has now missed their previous four matches, and his manager said,
He's injured, he cannot play tomorrow and it's not an injury that I can have the hope like I have with [Antonio] Valencia or [Phil] Jones.
I have the hope to see them in training and to have a positive answer, so long-term injuries I don't speak about them.
So Ibra [Zlatan Ibrahimovic] and Pogba and [Marcos] Rojo, these players I don't think about them.
Even though Man United are riding high in the Premier League and Champions League, this is a massive blow to them and their supporters going forward. The Frenchman had started the season off in impressive fashion, with two goals and one assist in four Premier League games.
