One week into the Premier League and already everyones obvious prediction has come true. Jose Mourinho would make himself the centre of attention by saying something controversial. Perhaps he does just live off that and all this situation surrounding his treatment of Chelsea's medical staff is how he gets his kicks.

One things for sure. He doesn't seem too worried about it, at least not publicly. Mourinho's pre-match press conference ahead of Sunday's clash with Man City went ahead as usual today and there was only one thing on everyone's mind. After confirming that the press conference would be about Sunday's game and little else, Mourinho then read out a statement which can be summed up in the following three tweets.

Rather than attempting to calm the situation, Mourinho then pointedly refused to answer any follow up questions and when such questions were asked, the Chelsea manager was in no mood to change his mind.
