Jose Mourinho may have decided that Arsene Wenger is an easier target than Eva Carneiro, and adroitly given the media something else to talk about.
After a week of discussion over the composition of his medical team for today's game, Mourinho turned his ire on a familiar foe.
He made the curious claim that Chelsea had earned the 'moral right' to spend lots of money, because of the grade-a job their sales had done.
Subsequently, he was asked whether he was surprised that Manuel Pellegrini was still in the job, given his hideous failure of only winning one Premier League title in two years and finishing second last year.
Mourinho was more inclined to express surprise that other managers were still in the job.
Some other clubs, they are disappointed for 15 years and manager is the same.
He didn't mention anyone and it is eleven years since Wenger won the League with Arsenal... but Brendan Rodgers is the second longest serving manager in the Premiership.
