The most dashing man on the managerial circuit Jose Mourinho sat down with the Telegraph for a mammoth interview with one of their heavyweight feature writers Mick Brown, a non-sports writer no less.
The interview reveals much about the man, his managerial philosophy, his religiosity, his deep admiration for Alex Ferguson, his sartorial conservatism, and his exaltation of the quality of empathy.
But at the outset, he revealed his own big flaw. His lack of hypocrisy.
I have a problem, which is I’m getting better at everything related to my job since I started. There has been evolution in many different areas – the way I read the game; the way I prepare the game; the way I train; the methodology… I feel better and better. But there is one point where I cannot change: when I face the media, I am never a hypocrite.
