After the media frenzy that surrounded Jose Aldo and his injured rib this past week, we can all calm down now that we know that Conor McGregor will be fighting for a UFC title at the MGM Grand on July 11th.
Jose Aldo is a Chelsea fan, and speaking from his training camp for the upcoming fight he revealed how he now has a few friends at the London football club and hopes that they will send "good vibes" his way when he takes on McGregor, but he also let slip that he is the absolute football fan.
When asked why he is so fond of Chelsea, Aldo said:
I started paying attention to Chelsea when Abramovich bought the club. He made them a big team and now I follow the Blues all the time. I loved David Luiz, it's too bad he left.
You filthy glory hunter!
To be fair, at least he openly admits it, and he does have actualy friends who play for the football club, which is a bit more understandable than that annoying kid in your school who jumped ship from Liverpool to Man United in the 90s, but still, we can't condone that sort of behavior.
He does support his local club Flamengo too, by the way, but he also said the following:
Nowadays, I think I have more Chelsea shirts than Flamengo's!
Shocking stuff.
