Since both men have had such an influence on Manchester United's transfer business in recent times, and therefore have been all over the papers, we got to thinking...
What would a team made up of each agent's client base look like, and who would win if they played each other?
Raiola will have brought Mkhitaryan, Ibrahimovic, and Paul Pogba to the Old Trafford when the Frenchman signs like everyone expects him too, but Mendes has had his pockets lined by United in recent years with deals for the likes of De Gea, Di Maria, and, well, Marcos Rojo.
If two teams were fielded, here is how we imagine they would look.
Team Raiola
The clear drawback for big Mino is his apparent disdain for defenders, centre-backs in particular, which makes his side very top-heavy.
Bartosz Salamon, Cagliari's Polish centre-back, and Stanislav Manolev, a Bulgarian defender playing for Tom Tomsk in Russia, will stuggle to deal with Mendes' attacking stars, but there's a very strong a creative midfield with two big strikers up top.
Team Mendes
Balanced, and packed with stars, this would actually make for one hell of a team if a manager was found who could handle the egos and personalities.
Wow.
There's really not much debate, Mendes' team on paper wipes the floor with Raiola, and he's not even bringing Bebé on from the bench. That side would play some damn attractive football.
If a superagents match were actually going to take place, we would imagine that Raiola would suddenly sign up a lot of defensive help, because as things stand it's not much of a contest.
Mendes takes this one, comfortably. Raiola will have to console himself with the stacks of cash he will earn from the monstrous Pogba deal.
