A wonderful little story in todays Sun detailing how John Terry got so fed up waiting in a traffic jam that he rang a friend to come and sit in the £175k Bentley and wait it out for him. They report that Terry was on the A3 only three miles from his mansion in Surrey when he was caught in the jam which occured because of a fatal incident.
A witness told The Sun :
“We’d all sat there for hours. People had been getting out of cars and chatting. Then out jumped John Terry in his Chelsea training gear.
“He leapt over the barrier and b******d off — leaving his car. We were speechless.” Hundreds were left in gridlock after a man killed himself jumping off a bridge — and a motorcyclist then died smashing into a parked ambulance.
The paper also has a quote from his agent explaining the whole thing:
“John needed to get home so he called a friend to come and sit in his car.
“Another friend kindly picked him up further down the road.”
