The instinctive and reactionary use of twitter by American capitalists is usually quite a bad thing (Sad!), but John Henry, Liverpool's American owner, has bucked that trend today.
Last night, Talksport's Ian Abrahams went all ITK on us, tweeting an exclusive that Liverpool were on the verge of a takeover, and that it would be completed by the end of the week.
Hearing some very interesting news regarding @lfc, hope to have more details shortly

Regarding the much talked about Liverpool takeover by a Chinese Consortium

My sources are tellling me tonight, the @lfc takeover is expected to be completed before Christmas & possibly by the end of this week.

If that story is true, then nobody appears to have informed the club's principal owner, John Henry, as he took to twitter earlier today to refute Abrahams' claims that he was selling up.
Good that your sources will be debunked so soon. Usually it takes a long time!

Abrahams responded like a classic journalist: angling for an interview.
well thank you for so swiftly clearing that, only reporting what I had heard - look forward to meeting you at Anfield 1 day

Henry was supported by his wife, Linda Pizzuti Henry, who tweeted support for her husband and the 'gif game' of Liverpool supporters:
Impressive gif game by LFC supporters in reaction to this rumor shutdown. https://t.co/9ywD8itysn
