Moments after one of the most embarrassing instances of play-acting we have seen in a long, long time, John Guidetti had a chance to send his team to the Europa League final.
The Swede, a former man City player, would have been public enemy number one for Man Utd fans, and a hero for ABUs, but he missed and has since been ridiculed on social media.
As reluctant as we are to sympathise with Guidetti after that shocking act, he shouldn't have ever been put in the position to miss. The ball was absolutely fired at him by a teammate who was in a position to get a shot on goal from two yards out.
What could he really have done there?
His teammate passed the buck, and Chris Sutton, Richard Dunne, and Kenny Cunningham all agreed that he bottled it, and couldn't take on the responsibility of such an important shot himself.

The pass from Beauvue was a nightmare, and an awful decision when he should have put his laces through it.
Over on BT Sport, Michael Owen claimed that he wouldn't have even seen his teammate let alone think about passing.
Man Utd fans will be happy to see how hard Guidetti has taken the incident, as BT Sport explained that he returned to apologise to the fans and was seen throwing water bottles.
But again, should he have been put in that position?
