There is likely to be quite a few Irish players on the move this summer, with it being confirmed today that two current Ireland internationals are set to find new homes over the coming weeks.
Alan Browne has departed Preston North End after over a decade at the club, opting to sign elsewhere after turning down a historic contract offer from the club. He is likely to draw quite a bit of Championship interest, while a move abroad is also not out of the question.
John Egan will also move on to pastures new, with the centre back announcing this afternoon that he is leaving Sheffield United. The Cork man had been locked in contract talks with The Blades for a number of weeks, although it seems as though they were unable to come to an agreement.

It remains to be seen where Egan will end up, although it seems as though a Premier League move could be on the cards.

Ireland's John Egan linked with Premier League move
The Sun are reporting that Nottingham Forest are interested in signing John Egan on a free transfer this summer.
The Premier League side have signed a huge number of players since returning to the English top flight in 2022, although it seems they are still keen to add to their ranks during the current window.
They already boast one Irish centre backs in their ranks, with Andrew Omobamidele moving to the City Ground last summer. He had to bide his time before being given an opportunity at the club, although he would go on to make 14 appearances in the second half of the season.
Consistent first team football will be a priority for John Egan in deciding his next move, with the player coming towards the end of his prime at 31-years old. He also missed nearly all of last season after picking up a serious achilles injury back in October.
It is likely that he will have a number of clubs to choose from over the coming weeks, although he may well view remaining in the Premier League as a priority.
