John Delaney took the ALS Ice Bucket challenge today and jokingly (he made sure to emphasise that) dedicated it to former Irish captain Roy Keane. The FAI chief executive was nominated by Mario Rosenstock who completed his challenge in character as Keane.
Ironically, Delaney's reaction to having the freezing icy slush cascaded over him was almost exactly the same as Roy Keane's. Both were remarkably unfazed by the unpleasant situation. Now we're not comparing John Delaney to some sort of cold-blooded, soulless sea serpent but it is a little bit odd that he coped so easily.
The FAI boss called out journalist Barry Egan, Three Ireland CEO Robert Finnegan, IRFU head honcho Philip Browne and Padraic Duffy of the GAA to step up next.
