We've featured a certain Norwegian-turned-honorary-scouser's twitter account on Balls.ie before, and we will continue to do so because it is one of the best footballer accounts around.
A man who is never afraid to call it like he sees it, John Arne Riise has today given his followers his take on the recent comments by Ej Hadji Diouf, who now seemingly bi-annually comes out with ridiculous claims against respected established professionals, and he wasn't too impressed.
Diouf sparked a fierce backlash after he said about Carragher:
He was the biggest turkey I’ve seen on a pitch. I found him useless.
And about Gerrard:
Steven Gerrard is a great club player but an egotist. He didn’t care about Liverpool winning – all that mattered for him was getting on the scoresheet.
I would offer him a stay in Senegal so that he sees how I am a king at home.
Utterly ridiculous.
Jamie Carragher wasn't going to bite, and quickly played down the comments:
It's better than a Donkey & plenty have called me that before!!!!!! https://t.co/SvDtAV7slr

But John Arne Riise wasn't having any of it:
Diouf interview: what a load of crap!! Put him on the pitch with Carra and Gerrard. 50/50 challenge please!! Smash!!!
