Non-Liverpool fans look away now. We're into the final stretch. It's officially Stevie G countdown time. The Liverpool captain will play his final game at Anfield this weekend and tributes have been pouring in.
Gerrard held a press conference ahead of his departure today to speak about his time at Anfield and his hopes for the future. The quotes have been spilling out along with a lot of good wishes from fellow professionals but Joey Barton decided to take a different route
Never one to follow the crowd, the QPR midfielder skipped the generic platitudes and instead focused on one of Gerrard's most under-appreciated attributes. His ever constant hair.
He's achieved so much. One of his biggest achievement in my eyes, which often goes under the radar is having the same haircut for so long.

It must be incredibly tough to ignore the trends and stick with the tried and tested 'no 2 on the top and 1 on the sides' for over a decade.

We do seem to remember more of a bowl cut when he first broke into the Liverpool team but apart from that, it has been remarkably consistent. Something even Man United fans must be able to commend Gerrard on.
