It's been an enjoyable game between Mexico and South Korea in Group F, with both sides having chances in an open first half. The game has undoubtedly been elevated by RTE commentator Jim Beglin's anecdote about staying in hotels with Mexicans during World Cups.
On the 29th minute of the first half, the former Liverpool player, apropos of nothing, thought it a good time to vent his opinions on sharing accommodation with Mexicans:
Have you ever been in a hotel with Mexicans? I have. I've had a couple of World Cups now. All you get is *hums the Mexican Hat Dance* all night long... you can forget about sleeping!
Beglin then awkwardly segued back into match mode by saying "it's party time", in reference to Mexico's narrow lead, courtesy of a Carlos Vela penalty following a handball in the box.
There might be a party in the Mexican hotel tonight, but RTE pundit Jim Beglin is happy not to be invited to this one, despite his obvious talent as a mariachi band mimic.#RTEsoccer

To be fair it is a bit of a tune:
But yeah having to share a hotel with a bunch of boisterous, football mad party animals that play repetitive songs over and over again... perish the thought.
