A few months ago, Jim Beglin was tasked with the admittedly difficult task of pronouncing Radja Nainggola's name on live television. He cannily decided that, rather than labour the preposterous amount of consonants in the midfielder's name, he would take an approach from left-field.
The results were a worthy contender for the finest moment of Irish commentary in the twenty-first century:
Beglin is currently on comms for RTE at the Belgium/Italian game, where he has once again been forced to wrap his tongue around Nainggolan's name. Having heard colleague John Kenny struggle to pronounce it, he offered some glorious assistance. Have a listen:
