Bournemouth striker Jermain Defoe is on the verge of joining Steven Gerrard's Rangers on an 18-month loan deal.
The former Spurs forward has only made four appearances for the Cherries in the Premier League this season, and will link up with the SPL side for the remainder of the season as they vie with Celtic at the top of the Scottish league.
Sky Sports are reporting that Bournemouth have two recall options on the striker; this summer and in January 2020.
36-year-old Defoe has played with Gerrard whilst on England duty, and his arrival at Ibrox should ease some of the scoring burden on Alfredo Morelos, with the 22-year-old often the focal point of the attack for his side.
Rangers are currently on 42 points, alongside city rivals Celtic, though Brendan Rodgers' does have a game in hand over his rival.
