Aston Villa's season was perhaps best summed up by particularly inventive Twitter user, Dan Brady:
@ballsdotie one of those tents they use at Cheltenham when a horse dies should be erected around Villa Park

But the second best Villa season review was conducted on Soccer Saturday this evening, as Jeff Stelling produced a 'drop the mic' moment when describing Villa's decision to put money and time into their official inquest into the club's misfortune.
Aston Villa are set for an end-of-season review.
Jeff Stelling thinks it's pointless. He's done it already... https://t.co/Qdl5kJBj8s— Soccer Saturday (@SoccerSaturday) March 19, 2016
Perhaps a bit harsh on the likes of Jordan Ayew and Idrissa Gueye, who incidentally hail from Ghana and Senegal respectively, but nonetheless a stellar point from Mr. Stelling.
In the space of 15 seconds, he could have saved the Birmingham club a lot of dosh.
