In the first half against Sweden, Ireland unleashed the long range artillery on the Sweden goal.
Strikes from Jeff Hendrick - twice - and Robbie Brady flirted with Isaksson's goal. There was also a glorious chance which grazed the right leg of John O'Shea with the goal beckoning.
It was Hendrick's second which really had people on their feet.
After a nice move, the Derby County midfielder hit a beautiful curling shot which struck the crossbar.
Had it been ever so slightly lower, it would have been a contender for Ireland's best ever goal at a major tournament.
