It's not quite Gary Breen to Inter Milan levels of post major tournament transfer speculation but it seems Jeff Hendrick has really caught the eye around Europe over the past few weeks and months.
Heading in to Euro 2016, it wouldn't have been entirely correct to suggest that Hendrick was an automatic starter in Martin O'Neill's team. He had played his way into the starting XI and fully deserved to be there but with Harry Arter knocking on the door and with an injury hit end to the season, Hendrick's place in France was far from certain.
However, fitness was regained, Arter missed out and Hendrick really made the Ireland midfield slot his own. And his performances certainly haven't gone unnoticed.
The Times are today reporting that not only does Hendrick have suitors in the Premier League, but Galatasaray have also been sounding out a move for the 24 year old. As interesting as it would be to see Hendrick make the move to Istanbul alongside the likes of Wesley Sneijder and Lukas Podolski, it appears increasingly likely that his future lies in the Premier League.
Although, the Turkish giants have scouted the Dubliner, their £2 million valuation is likely to come up significantly short of what Derby will be expecting to receive after his performances in France.
Considering the nightmare season that Gala have just endured (they finished 6th, 28 points behind Besiktas), we'd suggest they may want to reconsider. But the fact that Crystal Palace, Middlesbrough and Hull are all prepared to go above and beyond the £4 million mark for Hendrick's services would suggest that he'll be joining Robbie Brady in making the move to the Premier League before the end of the summer.
It looks for all the world that Brady will be on his way to Leicester in the coming weeks and Martin O'Neill will no doubt be delighted to see Ireland's prospective midfield duo battling it out in the Premier League if the current speculation does turn into something concrete.
Shane Duffy meanwhile, could also be heading for the Championship exit door. A move to Celtic has been mooted for quite a while now and the Scottish media have picked up on the story again today after Brendan Rodgers made his first move in the transfer market with the signing of Moussa Dembele from Fulham.
Blackburn would surely be unwilling to let Duffy go for the mooted £2 million but, as with Dembele, a chance to join Rodgers at Parkhead may be a tempting proposition for the Irish centre back.
