From the Republic of Ireland's hero one night against Georgia to the court-room the next day - Jeff Hendrick appeared in court yesterday after being charged over an alleged row in Dublin back in 2013.
Hendrick is accused of violent disorder at Harcourt Street on the 12th of October 2013. The court was told that the footballer was arrested at 3.28 am and 18 minutes later the charge was put to him by the station sergeant. Garda Damien Beakey said:
He had no reply to the charge after caution and was given a true copy of the charge.
Judge Anthony Halpin adjourned the case until the 20th of October, when Hendrick will enter a plea. Hendrick will be excused from attending court on that date due to Derby County's game with Blackburn the following day.
The charge sees Hendrick being accused of using, or threatening to use violence, which could cause a person to fear for their safety. There were no injuries reported during the alleged incident.
