Japan got the draw they required to become the first team to qualify for the World Cup this morning when Keisuke Honda kept his cool to score a 90th minute penalty against Australia. Honda had played 66 minutes of the Russian Cup final on Saturday helping CSKA complete the domestic double and showed no signs of fatigue in Saitama when called upon. The socceroos had been in front thanks to a spectacular cross/shot by Australian Tommy Oar. Australia are now facing a serious struggle to qualify battling Oman and Jordan for the last automatic place.
