That David De Gea will leave Manchester United for Real Madrid seems almost inevitable. The only real question would appear to be whether it happens this summer or next year.

So happy are United with how their last purchase of an Atletico Madrid goalkeeper worked out, they have reportedly made enquires about acquiring the services of Atleti's new number one.

According to Spanish paper AS, United are interested in signing Jan Oblak. The Slovenian keeper joined the Madrid side from Benfica just last season for around €16 million. AS say that the 22-year-old's release clause is €45 million.

They also quote an Atletico spokesperson as saying:

Oblak is not in the market, the team is being built around him and other footballers that are like him in the squad.

Louis van Gaal's side have also been linked with Hugo Lloris and Jasper Cillessen recently.
