Jamie Vardy is so hot right now.
The man who climbed the ladder from non-league football to the Premier League is now currently the league's top scorer and on current form is the most dangerous player around. His pace gives defenders nightmares and he is pulling goals and assists out of his backside as Leicester City continue to impress, particularly when coming from behind in a match.
Today, the good folks at Opta shared a stat that many would have known if they were paying attention to La Liga this season, but even still, seeing it in front of you makes the brain feel funny.
9 - Jamie Vardy has scored as many league goals this season as Cristiano Ronaldo (6) and Lionel Messi (3) combined. Rival.

Not satisfied with that? Chew on these stats that popped up on MNF:
In summary, Jamie Vardy is the best at everything. Except assists, he's only really good at assists.
At the end of last season, Vardy was without a doubt a huge part of Leicester's successful avoidance of relegation, but he has been simply sensational so far this year, and nobody saw it coming. His story is inspirational to anyone, particularly young footballers, in that no matter how many times you have the door closed in your face, if you persevere and keep working there is no limit to what you can achieve.
Couple this with the fact that Darren Randolph claimed a match-winning assist for Ireland against Germany this month and we really don't know what to think anymore.
