Jamie Vardy Produces Woeful Irish Accent In Outstanding Interview With Tubes

When footballers are relaxed in an interview, you get to know more about the person behind the player.

When Soccer AM's Tubes sat down with Jamie Vardy to pepper him with questions about his Leicester teammates, we learned that the Ballon D'Or nominee is exactly what it says on the tin. The man is Ronseal.

The admission that really hammered home this view is the fact that Vardy enjoys listening to 'Happy Hardcore' to get in the mood before a match. The memes write themselves.

In all honesty, the interview was really good, as Vardy showed no hesitation in taking the piss out of the amount of fines that Riyad Mahrez picks up, and in calling out Danny Drinkwater for being a diva.

He also was asked who was the best at doing impressions, and revealed that nobody in the Leicester squad does them, but instead they throw out a few accents. Vardy then produced a supposed Irish accent that sounds like it came out of a character in a Guy Richie film. It begs the question, with no Irish player at Leicester, why are they going around doing Irish accents? But that's a whole other discussion.

You can see the Irish accent at 1:32 in the video below.

His Welsh one wasn't that bad in fairness, but where is that Irish accent supposed to be from? A 'Lucky Charms' box, perhaps.

Marcin Wasilewski is one scary bastard as well. Fair play to Vardy for having a bit of fun in an interview, and now, as sort of a challenge to get an idea as to what makes Vardy's blood pump, see how long you can tolerate listening to this bad boy:
