Jamie McGrath has joined English League One side Wigan from St Mirren for an undisclosed fee. The Ireland international has signed on a two-and-a-half-year deal.
The Meathman's future at St Mirren has been the subject of speculation since the summer. His contract at the Scottish Premiership side was due to expire at the end of the season, and he had been linked with several clubs. That speculation led to him missing two games for St Mirren last month.

McGrath joined St Mirren from Dundalk two years ago. The 25-year-old made 79 appearances for the club, scoring 20 goals. His fine form last season saw him named St Mirren Player of the Year, and earned him international honours.
He made his Ireland debut during the summer against Andorra. He now has six caps and is an important part of Stephen Kenny's squad.
McGrath joins fellow Ireland internationals James McClean and Will Keane at the DW Stadium. Wigan are currently second in League One, a point behind Rotherham, though they do have two games in hand over the leaders. They have also played four games fewer than the chasing pack of Sunderland, MK Dons, and Wycombe.
