High praise indeed. Jamie Carragher believes that Manchester United need to make Marcus Rashford their main man up front, claiming that he is a player that can lead you to major honours.

Rashford scored for United once again today in their 1-0 win over Leicester, continuing what has been a remarkable run of form under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. He now looks a completely different player to the one who's development halted under Jose Mourinho.

With Romelu Lukaku missing due to injury when the current manager took over, the 21-year old was given the chance to line-out for united in his preferred position up front. He has not looked back since, and has kept the Belgian out of the starting team despite his return to fitness.

Speaking on Sky Sports after United's win this afternoon, Carragher stated his belief that Rashford should now be the main man at Old Trafford:

Between now and the end of the season, we've talked about an audition for Solskjaer.

Rashford can make himself Manchester United's centre-forward - they don't need to go and buy anyone else, he's your centre-forward that can take you to a title or a Champions League.

The form he's in at the moment if he continues that then they don't need to go and buy anyone else in or bring Lukaku back, he can be that man.

If he can continue his current run of form, the England international will be well on his way to becoming one of the best players in the Premier League. Having spent much of past two years playing on the wing, he is now thriving in a more central position.

No matter who is United manager next season, it would seem foolish to take Rashford out of the role he is currently filling. He should not be dislodged from the team, by Lukaku or anybody else. What that means for the £75million striker remains to be seen, but his selection cannot be justified at the moment.
