Jamie Carragher picked five Manchester United players and one Liverpool player in his all-time Premier League XI - but there's no room for Paul Scholes or Denis Irwin.
Unsurprisingly, Steven Gerrard pips Paul Scholes to the midfield berth alongside Roy Keane. Carragher admitted it was a tough call between Ashley Cole, Denis Irwin and Patrice Evra, but he eventually plumped for Cole.
He dubbed Thierry Henry the best player in the history of the Premier League and placed him up front alongside the old bulldozer Alan Shearer. His defence meanwhile is the most English thing imaginable, more than Yorkshire pudding and warm beer in a pub called the King's Head, with John Terry and Tony Adams forming the central defensive partnership. Gary Neville is the other full back.
