Jurgen Klopp once described Arsenal's football as 'orchestral' but said in contrast, his Borussia Dortmund side played 'heavy metal' football.
At half time during Liverpool's 1-1 draw with Southampton on Sunday, Jamie Carragher brought up Klopp's description of his preferred style of play.
According to Carragher, the football on display during Klopp's first two and a half games in charge of Liverpool was more akin to a 'church choir' than a heavy metal band. It was 'slow, boring with nothing happening'.
After the game, the ex-Liverpool defender did concede that his former side had improved in the second half but not by much.
Previous to today's game, Liverpool drew 0-0 with Spurs in Klopp's first game as Anfield boss and then 1-1 with Rubin Kazan in the Europa League.
