FINALLY!
Gary Neville celebrated his first league win with Valencia on Saturday evening as Valencia came from behind to win 2-1 against Espanyol.
Having said during the week that this game was an absolute must win, the former Manchester United captain will be breathing a massive sigh of relief tonight, but for a while it looked as though another poor result as on the cards.
With Valencia trailing 1-0, one of his defenders got an absolute tongue-lashing that they would not have understood a word of as Neville let his emotions spill over:
Gary Neville getting worked up at the end there! https://t.co/smnwmmTrmu

But a scrappy goal from Alvaro Negredo pulled Valencia level and then on-loan Real Madrid winger Denis Cheryshev hit the winner:
This will no doubt ease a bit of the pressure that was very close to breaking point from the Valencia fans, and Jamie Carragher was straight in with a message of congratulations after the final whistle.
"Denis Cherychev is Spanish for Mark Robins! Well done Gary!"

What a clever @GNev2 decision to add @PakoAyestaran to his coaching staff. Suerte maestro!

Now let us see if he can kick on and earn the chance to stay on and lead Valencia into next season, or whether that result was a one-off.
