Though he most regularly appears on Sky Sports' Premier League coverage, perhaps the role which has gained Jamie Carragher the most affection from football fans is his mainstay presence on the CBS Sports Champions League panel.
The former Liverpool defender makes up part of one of the most popular trios of pundits in football, alongside Thierry Henry and Micah Richards.
Carragher, Henry and Richards, alongside host Kate Abdo, have become hugely popular on social media on Champions League nights for their more light-hearted approach to talking football.
A prime example came during the Champions League semi-finals earlier this month, when a drunken Carragher reported back to the in-studio team alongside Peter Schmeichel, having spent Borussia Dortmund v PSG on the famous "Yellow Wall."
It is perhaps the most popular TV panel in football currently, though Carragher has now revealed that he came quite close to missing out on the gig due to his thick Liverpudlian accent.

Jamie Carragher explains test he had to pass for CBS job
In an interview with the Guardian ahead of Saturday's Champions League final, Jamie Carragher revealed that CBS Sports senior creative director Peter Radovich was initially concerned that American accents would not understand his Scouse accent.
'Carra' revealed that the decision was left up to the wives of the executive team, in a bizarre test of his
He was worried whether or not the audience would understand me.
Would you believe these three executives played a video of me to all their wives and it was basically down to them to decide if they could understand me.
Two of them did, one was not sure. So I just got the votes.
Carragher's accent has been the butt of a few jokes on CBS' coverage - perhaps most notably when AC Milan's Portuguese winger Rafael Leao could not understand the Liverpool legend's pronunciation of "Internazionale" during an interview.

It's safe to say the decision to hire Carragher has paid off, and he continues to form a crucial part of one of football's most loved punditry teams.
We can expect more antics from Carra, Henry, Richards and co. on Saturday night at the Champions League final.
Kate Abdo will host the CBS broadcast from Wembley, with additional contributions from Peter Schmeichel, Guillem Balagué, Geoff Shreeves, Clive Tyldesley, Allesandro del Piero - and Dora the Explorer. Yep, Dora the Explorer.
Real Madrid face Borussia Dortmund in the decider, with kick-off at 8pm in London.
