It's taken awhile after missing out on several targets like Memphis Depay and Ezequiel Lavezzi, but Liverpool have finally got their first signing of the summer.

James Milner joins a young Liverpool squad on a free transfer from Manchester City. The deal is subject to a medical, but it is expected that Milner will join the Merseyside club on July 1st after his contract with Manchester City expires.
Milner will add a lot of experience to Liverpool's squad, after winning two Premier League titles with City, as well as an FA Cup. The former Leeds youngster also has amassed 53 England caps and will be a key part of Brendan Rogers young squad.
