Patrick McClean is set to sign for English Championship side Bristol City after The Robins agreed a deal with Derry City. The 18-year-old will move to Ashton Gate later this week pending personal terms and a successful medical.
After having their initial bid rejected by the Candy Stripes, a new fee has been agreed in the region of £20,000 for the centre-back.
Patrick is the younger brother of Ireland international winger James McClean and is expected to join up with Bristol's u21 development squad. Bristol City were promoted to the Championship after winning League One last season and McClean is set to join the Steve Cotterill managed Robins ahead of the new season.
