James McClean was always one of the more entertaining footballers on Twitter. Which is why it was such a shame that things on the social network get a bit out of hand and the Ireland winger was forced to delete his account a couple of years ago.
However, now that he's moved to West Brom, McClean (@JamesMcC14) returned this week, as confirmed by Darren O'Dea and Callum McManaman.
All well and good. We've been looking forward to seeing what McClean would have to say and he didn't disappoint. One of his earliest tweets has been to former Wigan teammate and former Ireland u21 captain Rob Kiernan. As you may remember, Kiernan recently became one of Mark Warburton's first signings as Rangers manager.
McClean wasn't going to let that go with a quick couple of jibes. All in good fun of course.
Good to see his self-imposed Twitter exile hasn't deadened that wit of his.
