What initially looked like a good night for James McClean turned into a particularly memorable one for the wrong reasons.
McClean scored a first half goal at the London Stadium as West Brom played West Ham. However, they would go on to suffer defeat following a brace from Andy Carroll. Carroll's second goal of the game arrived deep into injury time.
The defeat leaves West Brom second from bottom of the Premier League, level on points with 20th placed Swansea and four points behind Southampton and Stoke in 17th and 18th respectively.
Upon returning home from London, McClean's evening got even worse: his house had been burgled.
Writing in an Instagram story in the early hours on Wednesday morning, McClean said:
When you get home from a last min defeat and your house has been robbed.. thieving smelly bastards! Great night!
