James McClean Helps Pay For Funeral Of Derry Teenager Who Died Suddenly

Sometimes James McClean gets a bad reputation for various things throughout his life, so its important to be fair and mention all of the good things he does.

Because there is a lot of them. There are so few sportspeople in the world that give back to their local community to the same magnitude as James McClean, and I feel that should be recognised.

Unfortunately, it's another tragic reason for McClean's charitable donations - another child in Derry who passed away too young. Derry teenager Ryan Higgins died suddenly on Thursday, with a fund set up in his memory to support his grieving family. The charity page, which is aiming for £2,000, received a big donation of half its goal from a James McClean
