Irish international James McClean has revealed the reason he has the number '14' embedded on his new boots. The design is a tribute to the victims of Bloody Sunday.

The winger posted the new boots on his social media. A tricolour also features on the boot. It comes as this Wednesday, January 30, will mark the 47th anniversary of the mass shooting in the Bogside, Derry.

This Wednesday's anniversary marks 47 years since British soldiers shot 28 unarmed civilians during a protest march against internment. Fourteen people died as a result.

McClean's club, Stoke City, are in action this week as they face a trip to the KC Stadium where they will face Hull City on Saturday.
