James McCarthy has made a significant step up from injury, posting a video of himself back on the pitch and running with ease, following a double leg break back in January.

The 27-year-old suffered the unfortunate injury during a clash with West Bromwich Albion striker Salomon Rondon, and was subsequently ruled out action for the rest of the 2017/18 season.

It remains to be seen whether McCarthy will be fully fit for Everton's Premier League opener against Wolves on the 11th of August.
