Jack Wilshire Tweets Unnecessary Apology For Anti-Spurs Chant

In 2006, the UK introduced laws to prosecute people who incite hatred against people on racial or religious grounds.

It's only a matter of time before this law is extended to incorporate football allegiance.

Apparently, an Arsenal player and fan can't even say he hates hated rivals without people getting all precious about it.

During yesterday's celebrations, Jack Wilshire asked the crowd, perhaps leadingly, what they thought of Tottenham.

They answered in unison, saying 'Shit'. He then asked the crowd their opinion on 'shit' before joining them in a rousing rendition of 'We all hate Tottenham, we all hate Tottenham'.

Tedious, harmless stuff, we'll all agree. But apparently a comment such as this is liable to breach the peace and was thus roundly condemned. Wilshire had to apologise today.
