After being thumped 4-1 by Arsenal, Sunderland remain the only side without a Premier League victory so far this season. But that's nothing compared to what their midfielder Jack Rodwell is going through.
The midfielder signed for the Black Cats in August of 2014 but has been anything but lucky since then. He's started 33 Premier League games for Sunderland in that time and is yet to come out with a victory. The last time a team he started in won a league game was back in May of 2013 when Manchester City beat West Brom 1-0, 1272 days ago.
Obviously, it is not entirely Rodwell's fault. Sunderland have been dismal so far this season and the pressure is building up quickly on David Moyes after another drab display from his team.
Could another rest for Rodwell be the key to finding that elusive victory? Moyes has started Rodwell in eight of the ten league games so far this season, with Sunderland getting a draw and a defeat in the other two.
Twitter was less than impressed by the Wearsider's performance against the Gunners, with Rodwell coming in for some particular flak.
Feel sorry for Jack Rodwell's landlord. Jack keeps promising to pay the rent from his win bonus. #SUNARS

There's no sign of him bucking the trend anytime soon when you take a look at the next few games.
With games against Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester United and champions Leicester City to come before Christmas, the outlook doesn't appear to be great for Rodwell, or David Moyes for that matter.
