With Italy already through to the next round, Antonio Conte promised changes for the team to play Ireland.
He has done just that. The Italian manager has made eight changes from the team which beat Sweden last Friday.
Those who remain in the side are Florenzi, Barzagli and Bonucci.
Sirigu, De Sciglio, Ogbonna, Zaza, Florenzi, Motta, Immobile, Sturaro, Barzagli, Bonucci, Bernardeschi
The bad news for Ireland is that two of those survivors - Barzagli and Bonucci - form part of that formidable Italian defence which has served them so well in the tournament so far.
Martin O'Neill has also named his team, making four changes to the side which lost to Belgium.
