This isn't Carroll celebrating his birthday last weekend as previously claimed. The guy in the foreground has emailed us, and half of Twitter with the following message:
'Hi, this image wasn't taken recently, i'm the person shown in it'.

We asked how old the photo is and he said:
'It was taken in December at Shorrocks Hill.'
Not last weekend, but still not a great look for the Liverpool striker. And as someone on Twitter said, even at nightclubs, he's not scoring.
