It's been a pretty dark year for Irish footballers. Here are some bright spots: Duffer's been good, Coleman's been consistent and Wolves have really suffered without Kevin Doyle, but Walters is in better form than anybody. He notched his twelfth goal of the season yesterday. It was a bit fluky, but as Robbie Keane would tell you, a goal is a goal. The case for starting Long and Walters - should Doyle still lack match fitness - in Skopje is now open-and-shut.
