Anyone who watched RTE's coverage of the UEFA Champions League will have seen Giles telling Bill O'Herlihy that Cristiano Ronaldo's much-reported celebration was probably for marketing reasons.
Giles said that in the coming days he thought we would find there to be some commercial aspect to Ronaldo's goal celebration, and just as the great man predicted, today reports have surfaced to back up his claim.
El Confidencial's Jose Felix Diaz has claimed that the over-the-top celebration was Ronaldo's way of playing up to a special camera in the stadium, which was filming footage for an upcoming movie about the superstar's life.
