The Irish Squad's Faces In FIFA 15 - The Good, The Bad, And The Ugly

In the build-up to Ireland's crucial Euro 2016 Qualifying encounter with Scotland, we ran a FIFA 15 simulation to determine who the popular video-game would have as the winner. We were very happy with the final result, but while recording it we couldn't help but notice how utterly shocking some of the Irish players in the game looked.

FIFA 15 on Xbox One and PS4 relies heavily on how impressive the graphics look, at times, and with EA Sports new partnership with the Barclays Premier League, most of the players in England's top division look eerily similar to their real-life counterparts. We stress 'most', because well.. You'll see.

Here are digital representations of the Boys In Green.

The Good:

Aiden McGeady:

Great effort, McGeady has his own skill move named after him so they would want to get it right.

Ciaran Clark:

Ciaran clearly showed up when the Aston Villa lads had their heads scanned.

James McCarthy:

Despite the Oliver Twist pose, McCarthy is spot on.

Jonathan Walters:

Thankfully EA Sports did Big John's frame justice.

John O'Shea:

Possibly the best one. What a man.

Seamus Coleman:

All the Everton players are immaculately recreated, Coleman is no exception.

Wes Hoolahan:

One of the lucky Championship players to not look like a generic civilian from 007 Goldeneye.

Shane Long:

Not the best, but good enough to avoid the "bad" section.

The Bad:

Anthony Stokes:

Suspicious Anthony Stokes is suspicious. Hair is spot on.

Recommended

Darren Randolph:

If EA Sports made a film about the Irish squad, Randolph would be an uncredited extra evidently.

Darron Gibson:

Too intense. He's a footballer, not a serial killer.

David Meyler:

There's something unsettling about Meyler here that we can't quite put our finger on.

Jeff Hendrick:

The Championship doesn't matter and neither does Jeff Hendrick, apparently.

Kevin Doyle:

A third member of Jedward?

Marc Wilson:

They couldn't quite create the precision beard in all it's glory.

Richard Keogh:

EA Sports Hollister Shop Assistant 2015 coming soon.

Robbie Keane:

That doesn't look Robbie Keane, Ireland's captain and the best soccer player around. Sort it out EA.

Stephen Ward:

The nose is decent, and the hair. Not quite good enough to be 'good' though.

The Ugly:

David Forde:

Wow. It looks like Rob Kearney shortly after being bitten by a zombie.

Alex Pearce:

Generic blonde man #4.

Stephten Quinn:

Generic Irish man #1.

James McClean

This is just hilariously bad. #Justice4James
